Receiving and Stock Room Attendant

Starting Wage: $15/hour, Direct Hire

FLSA Status:: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Reports to Production Manager
Hiring Bonus: $250/On Hire, $250 after 160 working hours, $1000 after 500 working hours

The Stockroom Attendant is responsible for counting and distributing parts to the production floor, as well as receiving purchases into the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to accurately count and be very detail oriented. Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to lift to 40 pounds. Forklift experience preferred.
  • Inventory transaction knowledge and experience with electronic parts, preferred.
  • PC software knowledge: MS Office & ERP preferred.
  • Reads and follows prints, routers/travelers, specifications and other work instructions to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of every position at Marlin Technologies.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Education and/or Experience

  • Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma.
  • Prefer 1-3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Requires basic mathematical skills that include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand prints, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing work instructions.
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with employees.
  • Must have knowledge and be comfortable in the use of small hand tools.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers including basic ERP time/job tracking.
  • All Marlin Technologies employees must be US Citizens, by customer contract requirements.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit and use both hands to finger, handle, and touch products. The incumbent will regularly talk and listen, and occasionally reach above shoulders. He/she will frequently stand, walk and move from place to place. Occasionally will carry boxes containing products with a weight of up to 40#. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision and depth perception. Work hours up to 10 hours/day is possible and dependent on the business needs of the company and requirements of our customers.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employees in this position work in a (approx.) 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility setting which includes large machinery. Noise level is moderate, and temperature is controlled with both heat and air conditioning.
